ETHICS & ELECTIONS BOARD
WHAT IT SAYS
FOR or AGAINST: “Constitutional amendment to establish an eight-member Bipartisan Board of Ethics and Elections Enforcement in the Constitution to administer ethics and elections law."
WHAT WILL IT DO?
This amendment removes the ninth unaffiliated member from the already existent Bipartisan State Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement. Currently the board is made up of nine (9 members) who are chosen by the governor. This amendment would transfer that power from the Executive Branch to the North Carolina State Legislature.
